Diamond Beach, on the eastern side of Nusa Penida Island, is a spectacular stretch of white sand framed by towering limestone cliffs and striking turquoise sea. The beach gets its name from the sharp, diamond-like rock formations rising from the coastline.
Visitors reach the shore via a steep and narrow staircase carved into the cliff, which takes around 20 minutes and requires good physical condition. Because of the strong waves and currents, the beach is more suitable for sightseeing and photography rather than swimming.
With its dramatic landscape and crystal-clear waters, Diamond Beach is one of the most iconic and photogenic coastal spots in Bali’s surrounding islands.
